Position : AR Associate (Remote)
Job Description : We are continuing to grow in the US – mainly through wholesale channel partnerships with retailers such as Dillard’s and Nordstrom (alongside nearly 600 independents) and are now looking for a REMOTE Accounts Receivable Associate to join our Finance team.
Purpose of Position:
The Accounts Receivable Associate will report to the Head of Finance and is primarily responsible for administrative and operational tasks with respect to Accounts Receivable. Key responsibilities include processing new customers, maintaining updated customer records, contacting accounts with past due balances, and addressing customer statement and invoice inquiries, daily cash application
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create Daily Aging Report
Contact accounts with past due balances
Address customer inquiries
Process checks and credit cards as needed
Post & apply payments
Set up new customers in AX
Perform Credit Checks for new and existing customers
Maintain customer records
Follow up with customers for any exception payments and post accordingly
Research and resolve unapplied cash in suspense and cash/credits on account at customer level
Escalate unresolved items to supervisor per pre-determined aging timeline
Assist in month end closing process: Provide a Risk Report for aged receivables, and enter journal entries
May assist in other special projects as required
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or related field)
1-3 years Collections Experience
Working knowledge of Excel (preferably V-look ups)
Cash Application (at least 1 year experience)
