Job Description : Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Life team as an Assistant Vice President – Life Marketing!
About the role

The Marketing AVP position is a leadership role within Symetra’s Life Marketing Department. The person in this position is responsible for contributing to, driving and carrying out the strategic marketing direction for the Division. As a member of the senior management team, the Marketing AVP will engage with resources throughout the Corporation to develop product and awareness campaigns and build marketing collateral. This position requires a strong understanding of the Life Division’s business and the various target distribution markets.

What you will do

Develop and lead end-to-end project plans for Division’s marketing deliverables which will include the creation and execution of product-specific and needs based marketing campaigns to support sales across distribution channels.
This leader and his/her team will partner with Brand Development for design, copywriting and print production of collateral materials. This leader will facilitate the ongoing review process of marketing materials and online content to ensure compliance with regulations and Symetra policies
This leader will craft, implement and maintain reporting on the performance of marketing programs/projects and ensure that customer/distribution partner requirements are delivered satisfactorily. This will require the creation of effective methods for tracking campaign metric and present findings and recommendations to the Division senior leadership team.
The leader will be responsible for the performance and development of their teams.

Compensation

Salary Range: $127,100 – 211,900 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Your experience and skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
6 to 10 years of proven ability with marketing related products through independent distribution channels.
6-10 years of management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to design and implement sales-based marketing campaigns.
Experience marketing through a variety of multi-media tools.
