Job Description : Full Time Position*

This role will be responsible for a healthcare-based contact center answering phones, setting appointments, handling escalation calls and administrative duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serves patients by greeting them telephonically using a compassionate tone providing the best in patient care.

Optimizes patients’ satisfaction and hold time by ensuring that all calls are handled appropriately.
Scheduling new and established patient appointments for a large, complex healthcare system.
Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties and answering patients’ questions.
Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Inbound/Outbound calls attending to patient needs timely.
Manage all calls in a professional, accurate, timely and courteous manner.
Manage time to ensure calls are answered within required timeframes and appropriate follow up is done in a timely manner.
Ability to effectively triage calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling.

Required Qualifications

Highschool diploma or GED
Experience in customer service setting
Must adhere to attendance guidelines required for a 24 x 7 healthcare contact center.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours minimum) or part-time (20 hours minimum).
Demonstrates progressive proficiency with the utilization of available computer technology, including typing skills.
50 + WPM typing
Demonstrated customer service, leadership, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, required.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of experience in healthcare customer service
Ability to multitask
Bilingual in Spanish
Experience working with the adult population
Experience working in a call center setting
Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR)
