As the Coaching and Facilitation Designer for Bezos Academy, you will lead the creation and delivery of coaching, as well as other professional learning facilitation models, for all school staff. In partnership with other senior members of the education team you will define our approach to coaching (including responsive supervision and instructional coaching) and facilitation of adult learning experiences.

You will design and carry out trainings for the national support team (NST) and school leaders around coaching and facilitation. You will also implement innovative platforms for virtual and in-person content delivery, then assess the delivery and effectiveness of this instruction. You will help shape our organization’s utilization of current research to develop and implement world-class coaching and facilitation models across the Education Team.

You will bring deep experience with child development and adult learning theory and practice. You will draw heavily on your personal commitment to students and families. Above all, you will share our passion for expanding access to tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in underserved communities, supporting our readiness to scale to hundreds of schools across the country.

LOCATION

Flexible in the United States; Seattle, WA preferred.
Relocation support is available for those who are able to move to Seattle, Washington.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree
Six or more years of professional experience with at least three years of progressive experience in PK-6 leadership or other education organization
Three or more years of leading adult learning in the field of education, including best practices regarding instructional coaching models and facilitation protocols for individuals as well as groups of teachers, school leaders, and/or system-wide leadership
Experience designing delivery of content for both in-person and virtual (both synchronous and asynchronous) platforms for maximization of content objectives
Proven track record of successful project management experience, coaching, facilitation of adult learning, and formative assessments to measure progress towards stated outcomes
Strong personal commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and experience building relationships across lines of difference
Ability to travel up to 25% of time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced degree(s) in relevant field
Prior experience working in early childhood education (ages 3-6 years) with strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and child development
Experience using an equity lens to critically examine adult learning, in addition to child and family-driven outcomes
Experience leading adult learning in an early childhood education network or school system
Knowledge of Montessori principles and approach
