Job Description : This position is a remote role, open anywhere throughout the United States.

JOB SUMMARY

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is looking for a passionate and innovative data scientist to build out statistical and machine learning models. ACS is building out its enterprise data science team, this is a new position with an exciting opportunity to build out models critical to the ACS mission.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement statistical and machine learning models to advance strategy and outcomes of the organization.
Collaborate with business leaders, in conjunction with the director, to evaluate areas of highest impact for data science.
Responsible for the full model cycle, data gathering, sampling, model choice, and results.
Collaborate with data engineering to ensure a streamlined data pipeline for modeling.
Design and test models based on your own hypotheses.
