Position : Delivery Crew/Warehouse Associate (short term – six months)
Job Description : You may not have heard of Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, Inc., but you know our stores – Sadler’s, Ashley’s HomeStore, La-Z-Boy, Williams & Kay, The Ultimate Mattress Store, and The Mattress Firm.
Sadler’s of Anchorage is looking to add a Delivery Crew/Warehouse Associate to our team. Employment is expected to last for approximately 6 months. Our team provides excellent customer service for all our customers. These positions are in a fast-paced environment with a highly-motivated teams! Candidates must possess a friendly and professional demeanor, deliveries and customer interaction is a large portion of the position.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Delivers product to customers in a timely manner.
Assists in the delivery and pickup of appropriate items in accordance with customer invoices.
Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying products and placing them in appropriate areas.
Fills delivery and pickup orders by obtaining the required products and completing appropriate tasks.
Warehouse Duties & Responsibilities:
Much of the time will be spent in the Warehouse setting loading and unloading incoming trailers,
Performing load-outs and moving stock.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Eligible to Access Military Installations. (JBER)
Hold a valid driver’s license
Clean DMV Driving Record
Pass health screening physically
High school Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years driving experience/delivery experience preferred but not required
Lift up to 40-75 pounds consecutively, frequent bending, stopping, pulling, walking and lifting required
Capable of carefully handling merchandise
Be dependable, and punctual
Applicants must be willing to work evenings, and weekends.
Pre-employment drug screening and a background check required.
