All conditions of the pre-employment security process must be met before an official letter of employment can be issued with a report for duty date.QualificationsWe are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-12 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level defined as making release determinations in response to official requests for disclosure of information; overseeing compliance with records management guidance pertaining to retention, disclosure and destruction of agency records.Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:1. Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Action2. Skill in applying government information management laws, regulations, principles and policies3. Skill in preparing written communication4. Skill in written communication5. Skill in information management through the use of information technology.6. Knowledge of Federal records management systems, regulations, principles and policies7. Ability to establish procedures to ensure timely notification of privacy breaches8. Skill in conducting analyses of legislation and regulations to determine impact on program operationsExperience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
