Position : Human Resources Manager

Job Description : The Human Resources Manager is responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to the organization’s personnel. The Human Resources Manager sets the tone for the entire human resources department. From employee relations to compliance issues, the role promotes a positive environment in which all employees can feel valuable to the organization.Duties include but are not limited to: Oversees the daily workflow of the departmentHandle all employee relations with a positive dispositionEnsure organization compliance with local, state and federal regulationsCompliance with I-9 verificationsManage and update personnel files accordinglyParticipates in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations and terminations in accordance with company policyPrepare and submit all FMLA, STD and extended employee leave requestsUpdate training records (filing and electronically)Conduct worker’s comp investigations for OTJ injuriesFile Worker’s Comp claimsComplete and maintain OSHA compliance logsConduct monthly Safety Committee meetings & ensure monthly facility audits are being completedEnter data for monthly Key Performance Indicator’s for the HR dept.Schedule First Responder training and re-certificationsManage the Training Specialist to ensure all employees are trained to policies, and procedures.Create and set up a training program for Managers/Shift Leads on policies and regulations.Help develop a structured training program for all positions.Manage the Recruiting Specialist, help create a staffing program, and monitor the needs to ensure staffing requirements are being adequately filled throughout the plant.Requirements and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. College degree or 10+ years work related experience. A working knowledge of employment laws and labor regulations. Must be approachable at all times, to assist employees with any personnel issues.
