Position : Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Description : We are an established, CLIA-Certified, High Complexity Laboratory that operates out of a busy Urology office in the heart of the Golden Heart City – Fairbanks. Successful candidates will have experience and the laboratory skills required to conduct molecular diagnostic testing. Job duties include and are not limited to:Daily instrument maintenance and quality control.Maintenance of accurate records and reporting of data.Determination of specimem valididy.Diverse functions as it relates to pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes.Compliance and awareness of all required laboratory licenses, reporting standards and certifications.Adherence to all necessary safety protocols, with a proactive approach to identifying potential areas of concern.A capacity for calm and reasoned judgement.Demonstration of ethical and moral attitudes necessary for maintaining confidentiality of patient information.Communication skills that are conducive to consultative interaction with other members of the health care team.Ability to multitask.This position includes a high degree of independence and laboratory function leadership, so 3-5 years experience is preferred.
