Job Description : Are you a proven leader in the foundry industry and looking for a new and challenging opportunity?JOB SUMMARYThe Melt Deck Supervisor position focuses on leading the department and shift to pour iron castings in a safe manner. This position is an integral part of the North End of the Foundry, which includes all steps of the production process starting with the pouring of the casting.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Melt Deck Department EmployeesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise melt deck employees, including conduction O3s and performance evaluations.Pour iron into the furnace and pour moldTQC weighting of the mold, ladle conditions, and pouring set-upKnockout ladle with skid steerAdd alloys to ladle and iron treatment centerInspect iron/scrap and ensure clean melt materialsRetrieve routingsUnderstand emergency responses – power outage, fire in pit, run out, wet charge, alarmsUnderstand correct safety procedures and necessary clothingIdentify necessary escape routesOther duties as assignedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or equivalent.Experience: Two to five years within a manufacturing environment.Must have steel melting, Arc Furnace and supervisory experience.Prefer candidate to be bilingual in Spanish and English- verbal and reading/writingPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTESDemonstrates company values: honesty, caring, improving, successDemonstrates commitment to safety and qualityShows strong knowledge of foundry processesShows willingness to make job safer, better, faster, and/or easierLocation: 252 McCarty StJob Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftWork Location: One location
