Position : Patient Transporter
Job Description : Responsibilities
To ensures the safe transport of patients and equipment to and from all patient care areas via stretcher, wheelchair, or ambulatory process.
Transports patients, on a daily basis, to and from various appointments, informing nursing staff of the transport and return, with 100% accuracy of observing safely standards.
Upon lifting the patients, with assistance if needed, moves them to wheelchair/stretcher and transport the patient to the assigned examination room.
Travels to different patient care areas to obtain stretcher/wheelchair for use if unavailable on the floor for scheduled patient pickup
Brings all unused stretcher and wheelchairs to a centralized storage location.
6 . Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for department and Medical Center.
