Job Description : Job Objective:

Monitors, maintains, and controls all deliveries of oil into and out of “Harvest Pipeline” pipelines via Scada and proactively monitors and/or controls natural gas pipelines, compressors, pressures, flows, and alarms during normal operations, abnormal conditions and emergency response in accordance with 49 CFR Part 192.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Reviews and monitors prior shift, to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process board.
Records oil and gas volumes and makes necessary changes as needed.
Monitors, controls, and re-routes natural gas flows, via the SCADA System, in order to maintain safe operations.
Maintains the integrity of the pipeline through remote control valve changes, instructing field personnel to make manual valve changes and starting/stopping compression as necessary.
Monitors and maintains process readings on daily log sheets.
Acknowledges, responds to, and initiates corrections/action to alarms.
Communicate and work with other Harvest personnel and field Operators for daily operation of the pipeline systems.
Communicate and work with Producers and other Pipeline Control facilities on a daily basis, setting flow rates, scheduled shutdowns, emergency shutdowns, pressures and any other issue that may arise.
Compiles, prepares, and /or notes information including but not limited to: start/stop of receipt/delivery flows, field personnel call outs, nomination confirmation, changes in gas quality issues, SCADA communication problems, and emergency one call locates.
Conducts and/or coordinates ongoing maintenance and general housekeeping of the control room.
Procures necessary materials and supplies to complete daily tasks Reads automatic gauges, as specified intervals, to determine flow rate of gas and oil.
Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made.
Complies with DOT regulations, especially Control Room Management 49CFR 192.631.
Must complete DOT Operator Qualification Program for Gas and oil System Operations.

Other Job Responsibilities:
Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Three (3) to Five (5) years of oil pipeline control experience, or closely related experience.
Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes fourteen (14) nights at 12-hours once a month and fourteen (14) days at 12-hours once a month.
Knowledge of SCADA, natural gas pipeline operations and/or natural gas control, scheduling, processing and/or compression
Ability to accurately solve problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Must be able to visually monitor several computer screens in a control room environment for twelve (12) hour shifts. Must maintain a high level of mental alertness and be capable of quickly processing and reacting to incoming information from the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA). Response time is very critical.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate SCADA or other engineering control loops.
Good administrative and organizational skills.
Proficiency in the use of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required.
Ability to work alone and highly motivated.
Education Requirements:
Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
