Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTIONPLASTIC PROCESSOR August 12, 2011Written By; B. Wilson1. SCOPE Applies to all plastics processors2. DESCRIPTION The plastics processors report directly to the Plant ManagerThe plastics processors will be responsible for optimizing the process by which resin is converted into plastics parts. Those in this position will be expected to minimize scrap, waste, and downtime while ensuring that jobs are started quickly and correctly. Also, Montrose processors should be willing to be trained in new concepts pertinent to the industry.3. SPECIFIC DUTIES ➢ Document and update new processes and procedures➢ Verify the correct set up of injection molding machine➢ Understand and effectively use IQMS➢ Work with production manager to propose and execute cost reduction strategies➢ Communicate with QC director and QC inspectors to prevent non-conforming parts➢ Reduce waste, improve quality, decrease downtime➢ Support Montrose’s quality objectives➢ Support Montrose safety initiatives4.
