Job Description : SUMMARYThis position provides leadership and supervision for the daily operations of the CRNA Primary Care Clinic, Medical Lab, and outlying Village Clinics. It includes primary responsibility for coordinating and scheduling clinic services and all operational aspects of the department to achieve excellence in customer service, quality, cost control, and integrated healthcare delivery aligned with CRNA’s Promise.JOB DUTIESWorks closely with the Medical Services Director in relation to the day-to-day operations, viability, and improvement of the CRNA Primary Care Clinic.Maintains the flow of communication, and actively develops care collaboration systems within the primary care department.Works closely with the Clinical Medical Director to maintain positive working relationships with the medical provider team.Supports collaboration and communication with other CRNA clinics and service departments.Plans, coordinates, implements, and enhances primary care and outlying village clinics for the CRNA service area.Manages flow of clinics, leading all staff in provision of medical care, ensuring high quality standards and reimbursement of services.Maintains systems to monitor patient satisfaction and investigates all patient complaints promptly.Assures the implementation of department goals, objectives, functions, and budgetary requirements.Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory requirements and standards.Directly supervises Lab, Village Clinic, PCC Medical Support, and Clinic Front Office personnel.Directs training for staff for the purpose of upgrading skills and provides job performance support and direction to enhance performance, skills, and knowledge of staff.Advise and implement applicable company policies and procedures.Represents CRNA at and supports community activities as scheduled by CRNA.Perform other duties as assigned.NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong understanding and sensitivity to Alaska Native culture and lifestyle, preferably with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native population.Strong written, analytical, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Effective oral and written communications skills with sensitivity to lifestyles of targeted participants.Skills in operating personal computer using a variety of computer software.Ability to keep accurate records and produce timely and accurate written reports.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as required for HIPAA, other regulations and organization matters.Ability to learn and apply program/agency operating policies and procedures.Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, including outside contacts.Ability to work independently as well as with teams.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA combination of experience, education, and training may substitute for degree requirements on a year for year basis.Three (3) years of experience in healthcare and/or administration.Two (2) years of supervisory experience, providing guidance and direction to subordinate staff.High school diploma or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field.Six (6) years of experience in healthcare and/or administration.WORKING CONDITIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May require local travel between compact services of CRNA which may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Works in an environment where protection of client confidentiality is essential. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided when and where needed.SPECIFICATIONSSupervision Received:Work will be monitored through meetings, reports, and regular communication with the immediate supervisor. General guidelines for operations are based on program requirements, conditions of grant award(s), and the general policies and procedures of CRNA.Supervision Exercised:Position will exercise supervision of assigned staff and complete required documentation, including performance evaluations, training, and general oversight through direct reports.Contacts:Contacts include and not limited to volunteers, organizational staff, clients, and outside agencies.CONDITIONS OF HIREAll employment at CRNA is “at will.” This means that the employee or CRNA may terminate employment at any time and for any reason. All employees must pass an initial and random drug and alcohol screening to be eligible for and maintain employment.CRNA has several positions that require a criminal background check for the safety of our clients.
