Job Description : Job Summary/Overview: The Procurement Specialist -Healthcare Foods position works with the purchasing department to acquire and manage a full line of food service and retail healthcare related products for industry leading Specialty Food company.Essential duties/responsibilities: Source, approve, and acquire various healthcare products that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organizationLocate key suppliers and evaluate and negotiate purchasing contracts to the specifications and standards of the companyGather all pertinent product information to prepare the products to be sold on the different sales channels the company offersTrack inventory and restock goods when neededStay up to date on industry trends and new productsCompare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricingWorking with customers and sales team to support any product related questions or needsJob Requirements and Qualifications: Education: High School diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferredExperience: Minimum 3 years in healthcare foods purchasing, sales or product development (or equivalent experience)Experience in vendor relations and negotiationsOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Healthcare food product knowledge and application a mustProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExceptional phone and people skillsAbility to react and adapt to fast paced changesWork Environment/Other information: Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting; possibility for remote workPeriodic travel may be requiredFull benefitsSalary commensurate with experience and is negotiableSend cover letter along with resume.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:healthcare foods purchasing: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
