Pay $65,000 per year

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for processing personnel security clearance requests for Public Trust (SF 85P) determinations required for access to unclassified but sensitive US Government information. Establish and maintain personnel security files to be inspection ready for US Government audits. Maintain a Security Information Management System (Access Commander) a central repository for all security actions and administrative requirements. The value added by this role will be to maintain an established corporate database for all security clearances across the enterprise which will enable inquiries to be made and reports to be generated for use by Human Resources and Managers in the field. The processing of these packets is required by federal statute to be handled by properly trained Security personnel due to the sensitive nature of the personal information contained in the security applications.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Review and process Security Clearance Applications
B. Create and maintain personnel security files for all programs
C. Populate and maintain Security Information Management Software
D. Prepare for and pass US Government Audits
E. Utilize E-QIP (US Government Public Trust Application Software)
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Must possess outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently.
Problem Solving:
Will need to be able to solve problems related to E-QIP Database access. Will need to be able to assist and guide applicants with the E-QIP process when they have problems accessing the software. Will need to be able to contact personnel who have not met deadlines for submission of security clearance packets.
Nature of Impact:
This role has a critical impact on contract implementation. Security clearances must be obtained prior to employees being qualified to work on contracts. Expert review with impeccable attention to detail and timely submission of security clearance packages have a direct impact on getting contracts started on time. This directly impacts the Program and Implementation Managers internally and customer expectations externally.
Area of Impact:
This role impacts the Program Managers by providing timely, efficient processing of required security clearance packets as required by contract. It impacts the Corporate Security Officers role by relieving him from routine, repetitive administrative duties. It impacts the business and revenue lines by getting IM
employees qualified to work on the project by the date specified in the contract.
Interpersonal Skills:
This position required acute interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with Program and Implementation Managers what the security requirements of a contract are. It requires a personal caring attitude to communicate with the individual employees to provide instruction and guidance on completing required security paperwork. It requires professional, courteous communication skills to interact with the Security personnel of the external agencies on the contract.
