Staffing Assistant – Nursing Administration – Days (6AM – 2PM)

The Staffing Assistant for Nursing Administration is responsible for ensuring adequate staff on the units. Additionally they will answer & screen telephone calls, meet with patients and/or patients family to obtain private duty nurses/companion, help keep the entire team informed of critical and ongoing matters. The Staffing Assistant will also manage employee files to ensure that licensure and credentials are up-to-date. In this role, you will support the nursing leadership team in effectively and efficiently managing the success of the department. This is a full-time day shift position (6AM – 2PM) located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, rotating weekends.
Preferred Criteria
Administrative experience in a hospital setting
Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED
1+ years of secretarial experience
Computer proficiently with knowledge of windows based computer application
