Primary purpose of the position:
Performs and ensures that efficient production is maintained throughout the plant. Troubleshoots problems and corrects deficiencies to ensure successful production.
Essential Responsible Areas:
Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, to include preventative maintenance for building and grounds.
Troubleshoot, repair, install, erect, move and/or dismantle all types of machinery and auxiliary.
Inspect job site and equipment to be dismantled, erected or moved; analyses blueprints and schematics; estimates weight of loads to be handled, lifted, clearances and recommends support equipment needed.
Accepts and rejects parts for the department; recommends quantities, dimensions, and the priorities and disposition of parts; repairs and install equipment as necessary.
Receives instructions, prints and work orders. Makes drawings or sketches of parts to be made or repaired.
Perform layout work.
Fabricate sheet metal and structural units as needed: guarding, steps, stairs, conveyors, elevators, and platforms, sets in place.
Willingness to learn how to drive a forklift.
Follow job safety practices, policies, and procedures for safe performance of assignments.
Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
Work a 12 hour rotating shift, 3 on/3 off. Shifts will rotate from days to nights every 2 weeks.
Position Requirement & competencies:
High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
Job-related experience for 2 years minimum.
Working knowledge of the following areas: hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, perform basic mathematical calculations, aptitude for mechanics, operate and use a computer.
Makes good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment, most of his/her solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time,; sought out by others for advice and solutions.
Compensation & Benefits
Hiring Pay Rate: $30.47
Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
