Job Description : Shift : 6:00pm to 11:00pm / Monday to FridayPay Rate : Up to $20.10/hrThis is a part-time position on 2nd shift – Monday-Friday 6:00pm-11:00pmPay Rate: Up to $20.10/hr ($19.60/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential = $20.10/hr)Staples is business to business. You’re what binds us together.Join our Staples World Class Supply Chain Team and deliver essential products to our customers.What you’ll be doing: As a Warehouse Inventory Control Associate, you will review inventory of product, reconcile inventory discrepancies and identify delivery shortages, and maintain inventory records to minimize discrepancies. You will operate material handling equipment as needed to perform daily tasks while adhering to safety procedures.Safety is our utmost priority so, in this role, we will look to you to ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture.You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.What you bring to the table: An ability to perform and understand warehouse operationsAn ability to work independently, demonstrate analytical thinking including mathematic skills and the ability to solve problemsAn ability to work on a computer using Windows including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and ability to learn/understand WMS systemsAn ability to communicate and collaborate with all members of the team, at all levels to ensure successful customer outcomesAn ability to work on a computer using Windows including Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelAn inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issuesAn ability and a willingness to perform basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouseAn ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practicesAn ability to be trained and MHE certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.An ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variationsQualifications : What’s needed- Basic QualificationsMinimum one (1) year related experience in a warehouse environment; including MHE experience, ability to become certified (i.e. Driving forklift, cherry picker, turret, or Electric Pallet Jack), and Inventory ControlAbility to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legallyBasic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)As a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business needAn ability to work at heights of 60 feet or moreAn ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by handMust be at least 18 years oldWhat’s needed- Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experienceThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
