As an Accessibility Lead, you will report to the Director of Accessibility Implementation and develop accessible products with a focus on the evaluation of products against WCAG standards, providing product teams with detailed remediation feedback, and coaching teams on accessibility implementation and remediation, including both user experience and WCAG compliance.
How can you make an Impact?
Audit products/applications against WCAG standards and for accessibility, and provide detailed feedback on remediation required.
Coach product teams on accessibility implementation of new products/applications and remediation of existing products/applications, including both user experience and technical compliance.Review UX designs and deliverables for accessibility, providing direction, as appropriate, and final sign-off.Train individuals and product teams on accessibility implementation, focusing on both user experience and technical compliance.Initiate and manage third-party audits of products/applications against WCAG. Guide product teams in their product’s remediation based on audit results.Monitor and assess product teams’ accessibility implementation processes, providing guidance toward their continuous improvement.Evaluate industry trends and legislation to incorporate findings into strategic plans.
What you’ll need to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Computer Interaction, software development, UX, or equivalent professional experience.3+ years experience auditing products/applications against WCAG using both manual and automated testing methods and providing detailed remediation feedback.Experience using assistive technology hardware/software, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, Dragon Naturally Speaking, etc.Hands-on creating accessibility conformance reports for products/applications as an accessibility consultantThorough knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1, and Section 508Thorough knowledge of inclusive design, usability, and their role in accessibilityComfortable presenting ideas to peers and coaching peers on accessibility remediation and implementation and ability to advance accessibility through the agile development processExperience using JIRA, Confluence
Our Benefits
The pay range for this position is between $90,000 – $120,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
