Job Description : This position requires lab and field work/experience in addition to working in research greenhouses.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Soil and tissue collecting/samplingLight machinery operatingDigging. Lots of it.Irrigation set up and maintenance.Trial Set up and maintenance.Lots of walking on dirt terrainLots of drivingLifting items/objects 50+ poundsData collection/entryPunctuality is important and some mornings can be very earlyWillingness to work in elements such as hot weather, cold weather, rain, wind, etc.Propagation, planting, up-potting, harvesting.Must have clean DMV/criminal recordBilingual is helpful but not required.Must be willing to work with organic ingredients ie, chicken/dairy byproducts, fish byproducts, food production byproductsGood attitude and attention to detail are criticalJob Types: Full-time, InternshipPay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftExperience:Farming: 1 year (Preferred)Agriculture: 1 year (Preferred)Data collection: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
