About the job
The Investor Relations team is our company spokesperson to the investor community. Together with your team, you’ll run the show whenever Google shares financial or other related information with its shareholders and the financial community. This includes regularly updating the public on Google’s performance as well as keeping internal stakeholders up to date on the latest financial and industry trends. You’ll strategically position and market Google to its current and potential investors, and address any shareholder concerns or competitor actions that might impact Google. You have a way with words (and numbers) and can support any communications, from founders’ letters to talking points for press conferences.
The Investor Relations (IR) team communicates the strategy and financial performance of Alphabet to the investment community. The team runs the quarterly earnings call process, and hosts meetings and events with sell-side research analysts and our shareholders
This unique position in the Investor Relations team focuses on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) engagement and will allow you to develop expertise in this area while gaining exposure to ESG raters, research, analysts and key investors. In this role, you will work primarily on ESG matters, but will also have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the IR team.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Perform in-depth reviews of ESG ratings and rankings methodologies, and engage with raters and other ESG-focused stakeholders through surveys, questionnaires, as well as regular calls and meetings.
Develop a deep understanding of Google’s ESG risks and opportunities and play an integral role in the ongoing enhancement of Google’s ESG disclosure.
Create materials and briefing docs that address ESG topics including investor views, peer benchmarking, and ratings gap analysis.
Research and follow key ESG issues by monitoring news, participating in raters webinars and conference calls, and observing announcements and developments from stewardship teams.
