You’ll be joining a passionate, authentic team who thrives on building brands and challenging status quos in a collaborative environment.The Position: As the Assistant Buyer you will support the Product department through purchase order management, component tracking, product creation and assortment strategy. You will work closely with component suppliers, product manufacturers and shipping companies to keep product in stock and on time. You will maintain databases and reconcile actual stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy in all warehouses. You will assist in new product development, component sourcing, competitive research & assortment strategy. The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills matched with a creative eye and entrepreneurial spirit.What You Will Love Doing: Inventory ManagementAccurately forecasting monthly receipts and managing inventory flow.Using strong computer and Excel skills to enter, monitor and adjust inventory levels for product moving between numerous warehouses.Delivering a monthly purchase order report to management team that indicates the open purchase orders and expected arrival dates.Managing and updating product catalogue including the set up and go live of new products.Working cross departmentally with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to ensure inventory levels support all needs while staying within inventory scope.Assortment StrategyExecuting a seasonal merchandise strategy based on customer needs, product performance, industry trends, and business analytics.Driving new customer acquisition by taking ownership of the gift set assortment and mapping out compelling seasonal kits to drive sales.Product MarketingCurating competitive research by visiting spas and scouring competitors’ websites, and then assembling and analyzing information to convey knowledge of competition and how it impacts business.Analyzing various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals on existing components.Assisting in component sourcing and mood board development for all new product launches.Qualifications: Data driven and analytical; able to take data and create action plans, resulting in successful tactics.Exhibit a professional communication style (both verbal and written) as shown through strong presentation skills, excellent organizational skills and a high sense of urgency.Highly motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset.Team player, ability to serve as player/coach when needed and roll up sleeves to get the job done.Pays close attention to detail and has strong organizational skills.Familiarity with retail buying and inventory management.Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly and retain the information.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: One location
