Additionally, the position will make quality checks on equipment and train other technicians as needed on equipment.How You Will Make a Difference: Assists R&D Engineers in the design, assembly and testing of production equipment. Creates drawings of an/or actual individual parts as necessary.Conducts final quality check and fine-tuning on all equipment assembled in R&D. Maintains record on production and equipment failures.Trains R&D assembly technicians and installation technicians in the assembly and adjustment of R&D equipment.Trains plant mechanics in the adjustment, operation and repair of R&D and commercial equipment.Program industrial controllers.Troubleshoot industrial electronics and electrical systems.Diagnostics for PLC’s and programming ladder logic for controllers.Support Workwear production facilities with technical information.Skills for Success: Years of Related Professional Experience: 2-5 yearsTwo year or higher technical school in design or related field.Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.Basic knowledge of standard sewing equipment (preferred).Use of mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, parts manuals, charts and tables.Use of precision instruments, i.e., voltage and amperage meters, tachometers, dial indicators, etc.Electrical, mechanical, mathematical and problem-solving skills are required.Hands-on approach to problem solving is required.Able to successfully complete requirements of job under stress and time critical conditions.Advanced understanding of PLC’s and industrial electronics.Ability to troubleshoot electrical industrial components.Able to diagnosis PLC problems and program the ladder logic for controllers.Machine shop knowledge (preferred)Travel up to 25%Mobility and dexterity needed.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $23.00 – $32.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location
