Job Description : We are seeking individuals to join our team who have high standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of others.Job Description: The Community Worker is a direct service provider to Intensive Services youth, adults, and their families, functions according to the Intensive Services process, and participates on the client’s multi-disciplinary team. The Community Worker operates from a strengths-based, client-centered, team-driven, community-based perspective. The Community Worker will practice solution-focused problem solving. The Community worker provides outreach, support, advocacy, system orientation, mentoring, and other supportive services to clients. The Community Worker assist in the provision of services to clients and patients by providing linkage, and rehabilitation.The Community worker must be able to work from a strengths-based perspective with clients. This position requires the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding when working with clients. The Community worker must be able to work independently and utilize organization and time management skills to meet the requirements of the position. This position requires knowledge and understanding of the health, mental health, or social services programs to which the position is assigned, and the problems of the community group being served.Requirements: Minimum of high school diploma and 1 year of experience providing community linkage and peer support. (Volunteer or paid experience can count for this requirement).And must have lived experience of being diagnosed with a mental illness or having a family member diagnosed with a mental illness.Bilingual Spanish preferred (verbal only).Must have a current valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Must have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company.
