Job Description : The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Content Producer to join our Creative Team. Reporting to the Editorial Manager, Content, the Content Producer plays a vital role on the Creative Team, working with colleagues across MoMA to develop and produce compelling stories for a wide variety of multimedia projects on moma.org. This role is ideal for someone with a fluency in media and editorial platforms, an interest in modern art, and a desire to create compelling digital narratives for a diverse and international audience.Additional responsibilities include: Working with the Managing Editor, Editorial Manager, and other colleagues on the Creative Team, participates in the planning of the Museum’s content program and strategy. Makes, executes, and exercises independent judgment about content and programming strategy, policies, and practices.Works with colleagues across Curatorial, Education, Conservation, Archives, etc. to imagine and produce exciting stories around MoMA’s collection and exhibitions for MoMA’s online Magazine and website.Supervises internal/external project teams.Conducts research and stays aware of current digital editorial possibilities to develop new programs and initiatives.Manages the workflow of individual content initiatives as assigned, including budget, timelines, releases, and rights, to create and produce creative and impactful content.Works closely with colleagues across MoMA on audio projects, including the production of a podcast.Serves as active producer/correspondent for individual content projects, including writing and researching as relevant and/or participating in other ways (conducting interviews, hosting audio, etc.).Develops and writes scripts and narratives as needed for various MoMA productions.Works closely with the Digital Product team to ensure product/content integration and performance across moma.org platforms.Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and three + years progressive experience with proven track record of multimedia content production in the cultural sectorExcellent researching, reporting, writing, and editing skillsFamiliarity with workflow for print and digital publications, video and audio production; and with multimedia formats, Web standards, and project managementDetail-oriented with excellent analytical and presentation skillsAble to work well within a team, and to build relationships and consensusStrong enthusiasm for arts and culture preferredStrong audio interview and editing (software) skills a plusFluency in Adobe Creative Suites (particularly Photoshop) a plusBasic CMS/digital publishing knowledge a plusFully vaccinated with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or the World Health Organization authorized vaccine (or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation due to a qualified disability or sincerely held religious belief or other legal basis)Application instructions: To apply, please visit MoMA Jobs.
