Job Description : The main function of a data entry specialist is to ensure insurance policies are accurately drafted, closed timely, and that client relationships and service levels are maintained.Job Responsibilities:Review source documents such as Acord applications, emails and Excel documents, etc. and enter data into proprietary software to issue insurance transactionsCompile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is enteredResponsible for quality control by locating and correcting data entry errors, or reporting issues to stakeholdersEnsure all policy documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with company policiesMaintain logs of activities and completed work, in order to assist in meeting corporate service level agreements to achieve growth, retention, and profitability goalsContact and communicate with internal partners via phone, email, MS TEAMS, or in person as neededSkills:Verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail, and be a team playerAbility to work independentlyAbility to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detailEducation/Experience:High school diploma or GED required. 2-4 years related business experience requiredMust be able to navigate within the following computer applications: Word, Outlook and ExcelJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Data entry: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
