Job Description : Position Summary: The Director of Talent Acquisition & Diversity is responsible for the planning and development of recruiting strategies and diversity programs within the Company’s three brands – Benihana, Ra Sushi and Haru. This includes the development of local and national recruiting plans, developing training programs to educate employees and management team, and staying abreast of changes in regulatory and market conditions that may affect the organization’s diversity program.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Recruiting –Develop and implement programs, plans, policies, and procedures for recruitment, selection, and job placement.Works with management to understand current and future workforce needs and identify improvements to staffing processes like sourcing and selection.Plan and direct activities to carry out functions such as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, evaluating applicant qualifications, scheduling and conducting interviews, administering tests, and performing reference, background and/or credit checks (if required), ensuring I-9 information is in order, and oversee employment immigration matters.Maintain written and verbal communication with hiring managers and applicants.Develop and manage employee relocation programs.Develop and maintain internal job posting programs.Manage automated resume and applicant tracking systems.Develop methods for using technology and social media to enhance the recruitment, screening and hiring of qualified individuals.Determine online recruiting strategies to attract and recruit candidates.Develop and maintain contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants. Manage on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs, trade shows, and media presence.Maintain and analyze data and produce reports on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions, and turnover.Ensure compliance with legal requirements and with organization goals and policies.Consult with management to prepare staffing budgets, projections, and employment policies, procedures, and practices. Monitor actual spending against the budget.Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget.Training and Orientation –Developing a uniform web-based orientation program for new hiresContinuing to work with local and upper management to ensure training program remains current and satisfies business needsTraining hiring managers on the policies and procedures covered in the orientation and other training programs.Develop and conduct training programs for managers designed to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover.Facilitate just-in-time training with managers and employees.Coordinate all other processes involved in transiting a new hire from applicant to successful employee.Conduct exit interviews with departing personnel and managers to better understand how recruiting and placement efforts can be improved upon.Diversity –Develop policy statements, training programs, internal and external communication techniques and audit/reporting system regarding Benihana’s Diversity Program.Manage equal employment opportunity programs in compliance with all federal and state laws.Identify the areas where diversity can be enhanced. Design and implement individual, team, and organizational needs assessment in the area of diversity awareness.Consult with the management team on the application of training to the workplace. Create and deliver classes to address gaps in knowledge and performance related to diversity.Gather and maintain a variety of diversity educational resources for managers and employees.Coach Managers on effective methods to ensure the development and maintenance of a work environment that fosters sensitivity and respect for people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and disabilities.Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (B.
