Overview
Leader Creek Fisheries is hiring Dishwashers for our 2022 Sockeye Salmon Season in Naknek, Alaska. This individual must be available from June-August and be willing to relocate to Naknek, Alaska during those months. Additionally, keep in mind that the hours are long: 13-16 hour shifts, 7 days a week for the duration of the season. The rate of pay is $15.85/hr regular time and $23.77/hr OT.
Leader Creek Fisheries is a producer of wild Alaskan sockeye salmon products in Naknek, AK. Our all-refrigerated fishing fleet was the first of its kind in Bristol Bay and will forever be one of the cornerstones of our quality-focused operation. We specialize in producing premium fresh-frozen, boneless fillets, and every summer we invite approximately 400 highly motivated, hard working men and women from across the country to come work at our shoreside plant and be a part of the Leader Creek family. From our first-rate fishing fleet to our dedicated processing crew and everywhere in between, our ongoing commitment to enhancing quality year after year is what sets Leader Creek Fisheries apart from the rest.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The Dishwasher position must be able to stand, walk and work for up to 16 hours per day, 7 days a week during our peak season (June-July). Shoulder season hours range from 12-13 hours per day, 7 days a week (April-May, August). The Dishwasher will be exposed to a fast paced kitchen environment and must be willing to push through fatigue. The Dishwasher will be required to relocate to Naknek, Alaska during the Sockeye Salmon Season and will be provided lodging, meals and laundry service while employed. Leader Creek Fisheries will also provide flights to and from point of hire (Seattle/Alaska).
