Position : Dog Handler / Doggy Daycare Position
Job Description : EarthDog Denver is seeking a reliable Dog Day Care Attendant to provide excellent care to dogs staying at our facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality pet care for our customers while their dogs board with us or come for day care. We expect you to provide a fun, safe, and clean environment for dogs and put customers at ease, assuring them that their pets will be safe. Prior experience in animal care or kennel care is preferred but not required.We need employees who are able to work 6-1 or 7-1 shifts or 1-7 or 1-8 shifts week days and week ends and must be available to work holidays.Duties and Responsibilities: Give dogs water throughout the dayPerform exit baths for dogs (get 25% commision for each exit bath)Keep play areas clean of dog wasteClean and maintain kennels, keeping them free of waste, fur/hair, and other unsanitary or hazardous materialsComfortable working outside on hot or cold daysSupervise play areas to ensure pet safetyPhysical ability to control large breed dogsAbility to prevent dog fights, or break up fights with out causing harm to yourself or to the dogsProvide life guard duties while working in our pool area with dogsKeep records of feeding and medication schedules for each dogPerform light receptionist duties, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and updating vaccinationsFilling holes in dog park after dogs dig them.Perform some yard work maintenance such weeding and mowingShoveling snow off sidewalks and entry ways will be required in winterRequirements and QualificationsFamiliarity with various dog breedsPassion for taking care of animalsMust be a team player and work well with others to organize and plan excellent dog care and cleaning without direct supervisionTeamwork and communication skillsPhysical stamina for cleaning and maintaining kennelsAvailable to work weekends and holidaysMust be punctual and good with job attendanceWe provide a great small business work atmosphere!You can bring your well behaved dog to work with you!Free boarding for your dog when you leave town!Please respond with a brief description of why you’d like to work for us.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $16.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:HolidaysMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payTipsEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
