Job Description : The Procurement Division is seeking a strong Emergency Logistics Coordinator to join their Office of Resource Support and Logistics Management! Are you passionate about helping people? Do you have experience in the supply chain and logistics management area as well as emergency response? If so, bring your expertise to the state of California and apply today!The Emergency Logistics Coordinator is responsible for: Coordinating all aspects of the acquisition of goods and services through procurement processAssisting with emergency response and recovery operations in the State Operations Center or Joint Field OfficeLeading procurement teams in the development of award contractsEvaluating supplier bid request and preparing responses based on requirementsFacilitating the resolution of issues by providing consultation and guidance to customersManaging state contracts by investigating and resolving contract issues and scheduling site visitsCreating emergency contracts and purchasing emergency supplies by reviewing requests and collaborating with various state agenciesManage time sensitive requestResource logistics within short timeframePosition details: This position requires 24/7 availability on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis in order to support emergency purchasing effortsThis position is part of a distributed team that involves regularly working in the State Operations Center (SOC), Joint Field Office (JFO) or other locationsMandatory overtime will be requiredWe are looking for someone who has: Procurement experienceFirst response experience in logistics support, emergency support, or similar areaThe availability to work on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basisA passion for helping othersAbility to work long hours (up to twelve-hour shifts) under stressful conditions that can be in a politically sensitive environmentAble to multi-task with the ability to pivot without pauseFor the official job posting and application instructions, please access the following link: https://bit.ly/3MYNHRmThe application deadline is 4/6/2021, which means all your application materials need to be submitted online or postmarked by this date.To be considered for the Emergency Logistics Coordinator position, you must take Associate Governmental Program Analystexam.
