Job Description : AKBH is growing and looking to add three new receptionists to our outpatient mental health clinic team in Fairbanks, Alaska! We are currently filling two full time positions and one part time traveling position!Responsibilities include but are not limited to: serve as first point of contact to the organization by greeting all clients, staff and visitors in a professional, courteous manner; answer multi-line phone system and route calls appropriately; accurate scheduling of appointments; check-in all clients and visitors; notify appropriate staff of client and/or visitors’ arrival; collect and verify insurance benefits and eligibility; process incoming/outgoing mail and faxes; collecting payments and client demographic information; and other general office duties as assigned.Minimum two years reception experience in a medical field, preferably a mental health center OR combination of relevant coursework and experience equaling two years. Must possess the personality and demeanor to deal with the public and patients with chronic mental illness, including serious mental illness (SMI) and serious emotional disturbance (SED). Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal customers; must have the ability to perform multiple tasks under pressure with multiple interruptions; must be a team player.Computer skills, regular attendance and punctuality are required.
