Job Description : Professional, kind and fun family in Woodinville is looking for a fantastic nanny to care for their adorable 6 month old baby boy.The DetailsLocation: Downtown WoodinvilleStart Date: between now and June! The family is flexible – the most important thing is that they find the right fit.Schedule: Full Time. Monday-Friday from 8am-4 – guaranteed 40 hours/weekPay: $28-$32/hr+ (gross) DOEBenefits: PTO (vacation, holidays), paid sick leave and guaranteed hoursDuration: 12-18 months. Family is looking for someone that can commit to at least one yearThe Children: The family has three kids (ages 6, 4 and 6 months), BUT care will be only for the baby as the older kids are in school (and camps when school is on break). You are going to fall in the love with this baby. He is easygoing, on a great routine, has a smile that will light up a room and an overall joy to be around. And did we mention that he is a tiny bundle of adorableness?! The main challenge for this little guy is getting him to take a bottle (he is NOT a fan). The family has accepted the challenge (they are not giving up!) and is working with an OT to get additional help. So, have experience with bottle aversion? That would be a huge plus! The older kids (boy age 6 and girl age 4) are outgoing, energetic, smart, fun and absolutely in love with their baby brother.**Important Note: If the nanny is interested in potentially caring for all three kids during breaks down the road, that is something that can be discussed and negotiated at a higher hourly rate, but it is NOT required OR expected. The parents: Mom and Dad foster a home environment that is nurturing, encouraging, loving and supportive. In terms of their parenting philosophy, they describe themselves as “routine based, but not rigid.” They take a very intentional approach to parenting by meeting their kids where they are at physically, emotionally and developmentally. They value solid communication and partnership with their nanny and truly feel the nanny is part of their parenting team. Both parents do work from home offices with doors that closed! And this will likely be the arrangement for the term of the nanny’s contract, so finding someone that is comfortable in that environment is key. And that should not be hard, because they are COOL! And also, Mom is on hand to feed little man (and to help whenever you need it)!And there is space for everyone! The family lives in a large home situated on an (almost) acre of land. There are multiple common areas for the nanny and baby to play away from the home offices and baby has a room of his own. And when the weather is nice? The neighborhood is walkable and the yard will provide endless opportunities for age-appropriate adventures and activities.Pets: NoneTravel: The family is hoping to find a nanny that would be willing to travel with them on vacation. There is a trip planned (more information to come in this area) and there will be fun for all! It’s not a requirement that the nanny come with the family, but it would be a huge bonus.Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate for this position genuinely LOVES being a nanny, is a great communicator, is nurturing by nature, is experienced caring for babies and promotes an environment of learning (bonus points for a Montessori background!), routine, play and exploration.Family is looking for a nanny that will:· Provide the baby with a safe and loving environment· Be proactive when it comes to anticipating developmental needs.· Intentionally engage in activities with the baby that nurtures his imagination and overall development· Be present when on the job (not distracted by cell phone, social networking, etc.).· Communicate effectively with parents, be an active listener with the ability to take, ask for and provide feedback. Think it would be advantageous for the family to have new supplies or toys – all you need to do is ask!At the end of the day, this family wants to find someone that is a natural fit with their family.COVID/Pandemic Considerations: Family is asking that the nanny be vaccinated and boostered (parents and oldest child are as well) and that the nanny be practicing social distancing, wearing a mask in public and generally following CDC recommendations.Driving: While it is important to the family that the nanny has safe/reliable transportation to get to/from the job, please note that there will be no on-the-job driving expected for this position.Household ResponsibilitiesAll the job duties for this position are child-focused and include:Wash, Dry, Fold and put away laundry for children· Kids Meal prep (prepping baby food, making kid school lunches)Making sure the children’s bedrooms, play areas and common areas are tidyKeep kitchen tidyRun/empty dishwasherTake initiative!
