Job Description : GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT CITY OF CAPE CORAL EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO APPLY.
THERE ARE THREE (3) POSITIONS AVAILABLE.F
Full-time position with benefits. This position requires weekends and holidays.
The schedule is:
Sunday – Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm
OR
Tuesday – Saturday 7:00am – 3:30pm
THE POSITION
Below is a brief overview of the role, not a full job description.
Performs unskilled to semi-skilled labor in maintenance of city grounds, recreational facilities, the golf course, athletic fields, courts and parks, generally assigned to a specific functional area such as athletic fields, golf course, or parks ground maintenance, but may be assigned to assist in others when circumstance warranted (i.e., special events).
Work includes general custodial tasks, the operation of both electric and gas-powered grounds maintenance equipment.
Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubbery, flowerbeds, and other horticulture.
Ability to operate equipment in a manner consistent with observing prescribed safety and hazard precautions.
Perform other related duties as required.
