Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY: We’re looking for a Head Cashier to join our team at City Mill. Head Cashiers are responsible for overseeing a team of cashiers, maintaining cash registers and assisting customers with purchases, refunds, exchanges, and other related needs.Head Cashiers must have excellent communication skills; they must be able to problem solve, pay attention to detail, work well as a part of a team, and have good leadership skills.Full Time and Part Time Opportunities AvailableESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *Greets and assists all customers with their purchases in an expeditious and courteous manner*Answers incoming calls to the store and articulates the proper information to the customer.*Operate a cash register to enter purchases, exchanges, and refunds*Assures maintenance of cart retrieval program and required documentation.*Handle customer complaints, cashier issues and act as the communicator between floor staff and management.*Ensure all cashiers are adhering to company policies, procedures and protocols*Cleans and stocks Front End areas, including own register*Provide excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.*Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.*Performs other duties as assigned*QUALIFICATIONS: **One (1) year supervisory experience preferred*Two (2) years cashiering experience preferred*Two (2) years customer service experience required*Excelled in a customer service position for twelve (12) continuous months within a hardware or home improvement retail setting ideal*High School Diploma or equivalent required*WHAT WE OFFER: **Medical*Dental*Paid Time Off*401K with company match*Group Life Insurance*Health Savings Account*Employee DiscountJob Types: Full-time, Part-time
