Job Description : POSITION SUMMARYWe are looking for a heavy equipment technician to work in our Anchorage location. This person will be responsible for pre-delivering, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing customer and rental fleet machines. Most work will be done at the Anchorage shop; however some field work will be required.SALARY RANGEDepending on experienceBENEFITS: 401K ProgramHealth insurance or HSAAccrual of PTO5-6 Annual paid HolidaysEmployee Discount on all purchases from Craig Taylor Equipment.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESInspect and pre-deliver new equipmentInspect, troubleshoot and estimate repair of used equipmentMaintain our rental fleet for repair and cleanlinessTravel to customer’s location to repair equipmentUse computers to look up parts, research service practices, prepare estimates and generate service reportsKeep a clean safe work spaceQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GEDMust have 5 years heavy equipment repair experience-Diesel engine-Undercarriage-Hydraulics-Electrical-Power trainA good attitudeAttention to detailPaperwork and computer skillsWork alone or as a teamWelding experience a +CDL a +JOB REQUIREMENTS Be able to work 40+ hrs per weekBe able to work a flexable shift and changing work schedule.Be able to operate most types of construction equipmentBe able to operate tools associated with equipment repairMust have a valid drivers license and a clean driving recordMust have or be able to get a DOT medical cardMust pass a pre-employment drug testPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb onto equipment, and work overhead for long periods of timeMust be able to lift and carry heavy objectsMust be able to work outside in all types of weatherJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Mechanical Knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
