Job Description : Legal AssistantBoutique trusts and estates practice seeks a full-time legal assistant for our busy practice in Boca Raton. This position will primarily involve working with our estate, trust and guardianship litigation team. We are a high-end, top-rated practice and will only consider the best of the best for this position.IMMEDIATE OPENING.Skills/Qualifications:This full-time position requires a very organized and professional who is able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook. This is a perfect position for a legal assistant seeking to be a member of a successful team and prove their value for long-term growth with our firm. We offer competitive salary, benefits including paid PTO and health care insurance stipend, and a dynamic and collegial work environment.Duties:Manages and schedules attorneys’ calendars, including client meetings, professional meetings, conferences, and networking events.Supports paralegals on all matters including file supervision and maintenance.Assists attorneys in preparing for meetings, depositions, hearings, seminars, and business travel.Drafts basic documents, letters and agreements. Proofreads all documents.Performs conflicts searches in connection with new matter inquiries and maintains records of potential client communications.Opens, maintains and closes client files, and prepares engagement letters for new matters.Photocopying, scanning, mailing, formatting and filing documents.Processes client payments.Coordinates all client contact and interaction.In addition, the candidate will have to be willing to cover reception (from their desk) will share light kitchen duties, turning on the dishwasher at the end of the day and emptying it in the morning (a few coffee cups and some silverware). Inventory of coffee and soda, and keeping the soda frig stocked. Responsible for office supply inventory and ordering. Picking up and distributing incoming mail, scanning the mail to clients file. (the scanning will only apply to ABB’s side of the practice).
