Job Description : Davalyn Corporation has been retained to fill a Manufacturing Supervisor position with a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia.Our client serves the food and pharmaceutical industries. The company produces products in high demand in today’s environmentally conscious marketplace.The supervisor will report to a Manufacturing Manager and will assist the Manufacturing Manager in the comprehensive day-to-day activities of the production area.The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of hourly associates in the safety, productivity, and quality of a fast-paced manufacturing facility.This a full-time opportunity managing a night shift.Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience level.Responsibilities include the following:Manages human and material resources to meet production goalsSets up production linesResponsible for productivity expectationsPrepares and maintains production reportsMonitors headcounts for optimal production outputManages the safety and cleanliness of the production areaDelegates cleaning responsibilities to hourly temporary workersEnsures all workers within area of responsibility are wearing PPECoach’s unsafe behaviors of production workersResponsible for the quality of manufactured productsMonitors production lines to ensure products are produced to customer specificationsCoaches’ production workers on food safe production and adherence to GMP’sThe qualified candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:Basic understanding of warehouse terminology and toolsBasic knowledge of warehouse operations: production, shipping, receiving, inventoryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMicrosoft Office skillsFive years supervisory experience preferredOne to three years’ experience with inventory ERP systemsHigh School or GEDCompensation with base, bonus and overtime potential is in the $80,000 to $85,000 range.Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Night shiftSupplemental Pay:Bonus payShift availability:Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: One location
