Northrop Grumman’s business unit Armament Systems is seeking a Master Scheduler for our facility in Mesa, AZ.
Armament Systems is a leading supplier of integrated medium-caliber weapon systems for land, air and sea platforms through its world renowned Bushmaster® line of automatic cannons produced at its Mesa, Arizona facility.
Responsibilities:
Create and Maintain the Master Production Schedule
Develop and implement data input process to transition customer requirements into company ERP system
Develop and implement data input process to transition customer requirements into company ERP system
Use Rough capacity planning to calculate if you can meet your proposed Master Production Schedule. Continue using this technique to continuously assess if your capacity can meet demand when your master production schedule is in action
Review requests of new sales order and provide practical promise dates to Program Management prior to accepting orders
Monitor schedule progress for assembly and manufacturing areas and ensure builds are progressing as promised
Prepare reports required to facilitate and suggest actions to assure optimal execution of different departments
Oversee reasons to schedule changes and ensure root causes for volatility of schedule being resolve
Lead responsibility to achieve and sustain adherence to company rules associated with Master Scheduling
Identify and recommend feasible solutions to plan operational issues
Support Operations to maximize through put and minimize idle time
Interacts with Supply Chain to understand incoming raw material
Ensure Operations is clear on what needs to be produced every week
Basic Qualifications:
This position emphasized skills and experience. Must have 10 years of experience in Production Planning and Scheduling and a High School Degree or GED. Will also consider a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of experience or a Masters degree in a related field with 4 years of experience
Thorough knowledge of MRP required. Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred
7 years experience in manufacturing environment with complex machining and assembly
Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop collaborative relationships with all levels within the organization
Ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction, can multi-task and is self-starter
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point, Visio).

Salary Range: $81,600 USD – $122,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
