Job Description : BUSY #1 CATERING COMPANY LOOKING FOR EVENT STAFF!!SERVERS NEEDED STARTING AS SOON AS THIS WEEKEND!We are a large catering company that caters at beautiful homes and private venues all over San Diego. The majority of our events are located in and around La Jolla, but we regularly have work all over San Diego and San Diego County.We are looking for Servers to join our team, starting this week/weekend.Experience is not required, this is an entry-level position and we are happy to train staff without experience as long as they are hardworking and professional!UNIFORM: (MUST HAVE UNIFORM): All black, professional uniform required.Must have all black non-slip shoes, solid black dress pants, black belt, black button down shirt and a black tie.Must have a professional and well groomed appearance.If your hair is longer than shoulder length, it must be pulled back.Nails must be clean and trimmedPAY: Average of $18-$20 per hour, including a gratuity pool. This varies with the amount of gratuity left each pay period, but is on average a minimum of $3.00 per hour and up.JOB DUTIES: Some typical responsibilities at events include the following:Setting up Guest Tables (Arranging Linens, Folding/placing Napkins, Polishing Glassware and Silverware and arranging it at tables)Serving Appetizers, Making and Serving Salads, Serving Dinner and DessertClearing plates throughout the night (salad/dinner/dessert) and picking up any glassware, cocktail napkins or waste throughout the event.Dinner Service: We may have staff assist with plating food during dinner service if an extra pair of hands are needed, but most of the team will be serving food.After Dinner, the remainder of the evening mainly consists of open dancing for guests. We spend the rest of the event clearing plates/glassware, washing them, cleaning and putting everything away.PLEASE NOTE: Off-Site events: Equipment & Food arrive with Event Captain in a truck. Shift may begin with unloading of supplies before setting up. Event concludes with putting items back inside.The trucks do have lift gates and we provide dollies, but there is generally some unloading and setup involved.At our own venues, all equipment is usually on-site, loading not required. Instead, we do run the dishwasher to clean everything.REQUIRED: Please take a moment to confirm the following in your response: 1.
