Job Description : Therm-x of California is the leading manufacture for Advanced Temperature and Control Systems for Hi-Technology industries. We have been in business for over 30 years and have a diverse customer base. We offer competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.Therm-x is developing a new manufacturing and development site in Independence OH. The Operations Manager will be primarily responsible for starting up the facility including machine installation and qualification. Staffing development and managing production and operations in the facility. The Ohio Operations will be tasked with small scale production for quick response to handle customer driven requests and changes, developing and trouble-shooting manufacturing processes, and support of new process/product development. In addition, it will be the key site for customer visits and inspections. The manager of operations will have the responsibility to bring the site capabilities to meet customer’s satisfaction.Responsibilities Include; Work with Engineering to develop and then transition ceramic heater technology from engineering to production for customers within deadline.Work closely with engineering in CA and OH to understand current process for fabricating heaters and become proficient in their fabrication.Work with Manufacturing engineering to create documentation for trainingBuild cost models for producing 2 and 4 heaters per week and identify areas for cost reductions in producing heaters with increased capacity over time.Refine the model using time studies, material utilization and equipment operations.Work closely with stakeholders to increase production of ceramic heaters for the Semiconductor industry.Work with suppliers in the area to coordinate supply chain and out-processes that support Therm-x production.Implement process improvement solutions for increased efficiencies of various operations, e.g., iso-pressing, binder burn-off and machining of sintered parts, etc.Preparing a detailed road map for 2-4-10 heaters/week with the ramp up time worked out with input from the customers and the team – capital requirement, its availability in terms of quantity, timing, and agreements with key suppliers.Supervise installation and qualification of processing equipment and make them operational.Execute on the approved plan to establish the facility to meet the target production capability.Develop efficient lean manufacturing processes with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.Monitor and improve equipment utilization using data collected by company systems.Interface with suppliers, subcontractors, and contract manufacturers as neededTravel between facilities during the initial start up phase.Desired Skills and Knowledge; MS in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical or equivalent)At least 7 years of semiconductor equipment manufacturing engineering and build process development.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, MasterCAM, SolidWorks, Inventor, NX)Knowledge of Manual and CNC Horizontal and Vertical Mills, Lathes, Mill/Turn, 5 Axis and Robotics.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location
