Position : Packaging Tech Operator
Job Description : Del Monte Foods, Inc. in Modesto, California is looking to hire several Packaging Tech Operators on a full-time basis. This position pays $29.87 per hour.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position. Primary Duties
Start and stop all equipment centers related to the sleeveless line in accordance with operating instructions as necessary.
Proficiently operate all equipment centers by properly navigating through HMI screens.
Perform quality checks as needed and make adjustments to meet process specifications.
Proficiently operate coder and other auxiliary equipment on the sleeveless line.
Check and verify that the correct codes and materials are being used.
Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting of the machine.
Clean, Inspect, and Lube the machine as needed and required.
Watch the line as necessary.
Perform changeovers as needed and required.
Perform sanitation of assigned equipment as needed and required.
Load and maintain packaging materials as needed to operate the machine.
Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively in English.
Train new operators as required.
Communicate effectively in English.
Any other related duties as required.
Safety Requirements
Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Must always operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Always observe Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety Policies.
Must follow lock-out/tag-out procedures at all
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate 40 pounds on a consistent basis.
Must be able to stand continuously, bending at the waist frequently.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
Must be available to work any shift.
