We are looking for PWD Inclusion and Accessibility Expert for a duration of 6 months
Business Context : Over the last 10 years, Unilever has been a pioneer in the space of Diversity & Inclusion in India. One of our key focus areas when it comes to diversity and inclusion has been the inclusion of persons with disabilities in our workforce. We have taken several steps towards this through the initiatives run by our brands (like Kwality Walls ‘I am Walls’ program through which we onboarded 250+ PWDs in our outer core) and Prabhat Livelihood center (which helps train PWD talent into employable jobs). Going forward however, we plan to accelerate our efforts and work extensively in this space to improve not only the representation of PWDs in our workforce but also embed PWD inclusion in our organizational blueprint.
Project Overview: In 2021 HUL conducted an inclusion lab study in partnership with WPP and Microsoft to deep dive into different facets of PWD inclusion – right from infrastructure, inclusive behaviors/practices, to the degree of advocacy taken on by the organization. Based on the insights from this extensive study, we have a roadmap in place -with our 4 aces model- to help build representation and inclusion of PWD talent.
This project comes as a part of the PWD roadmap and will focus on identifying what is best in class with respect to PWD inclusion, the accessibility and infrastructure.
Key Deliverables:
Under this project the consultant will be working on:
Identify and recommend best in class practices with respect to PWD inclusion
Job Analysis for identifying opportunities to add 300 PWD into our workforce
Facilitating Accessibility Audit of atleast 10 office locations, hardware, and software as per the stipulated standards.
Auditing and assessing Policies and processes to include accessibility criteria to nudge people to consider and adapt to include people with disability more consciously.
Working with the global Unilever Diversity and Inclusion team to deepen the capability of globally used IT systems and software to support usage of Assistive Technology more effectively
Expected business Impact : Our ambition is to build at least 5% representation of PWD talent in our workforce by the end of 2025, while emerging as the employer of choice for PWD talent in South Asia
Key Skills Required:
Strong Project Management, Communication & Vendor/Partner Management
Working understanding / use of MS office applications
Experience in PWD inclusion space is preferred.
