Job Description : The Scrubgrass Energy Services Plant is located in Kennerdell, Venango County, Pennsylvania.The facility is designed to convert the bituminous mining refuse (GOB) left over from decades of coal mining in the region into energy. Employing state-of-the art circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler technology, the facility is able to efficiently burn low BTU refuse in an environmentally safe and beneficial manner. Scrubgrass produces approximately 85 megawatts of electricity-enough for about 80,000 homes.GENERAL SUMMARYScrubgrass Energy Services seeks an individual to work as a Plant Manager at the Scrubgrass Energy Services Power Plant in Kennerdell, PA.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Responsible for leading the plant staff to achieve high availability, high capacity factor and high standards of safety.- Responsible for establishing overall vision associated with operating and maintaining the plant. This requires establishing policy and procedures as well as adhering to governmental regulations and obligations for the plant.- Establish overall station goals, monitor financial and operational performance of the station, prepare annual station budget- Assure the highest standards of personnel and machinery safety are maintained at the station and correct as deemed necessary to support the intent of this requirement- Assist Asset Manager as the liaison between PJM and the station- Assist with establishing a dispatch schedule to maximize the business profits; Reconcile all PJM documents to assure that the business is obtaining it proper revenue from the sales of electric products into PJM, adhere to all PJM applicable requirements to insure the continuing operation of the Scrubgrass Energy Plant.- Plant Manager will oversee the fuel supply to the facility so the plant can achieve its highest efficiency and minimum operating expense while balancing the cost of fuel.- Work on the Preparation of management reports for the ownership- Work to assure compliance and keep abreast of all current (federal, state, other) permits, statues or rules- A willingness to work extended hours during outage situations is required.JOB QUALIFICATIONS- BA or BS in operations management, business, engineering or related field- Proven supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership skills- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concept- This position requires the qualified candidate should have at least 10 years of experience, preferably in the power industry, with the ability to implement process improvement, develop and recommend solution to complex problems, anticipate needs and accept ownership of all responsible equipment- Is an accomplished contributor and meets difficult customer needs.- Must be proficient in PC applications, in particular Microsoft Word, and ExcelJob Type: Full-timePay: $110,000.00 – $145,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRelocation assistanceVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayOn callOvertimeWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Kennerdell, PA 16374: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Plant management: 10 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
