Job Description : CDC”s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention (DNPAO) utilizes a policy, systems, and environmental approach to address the role of nutrition and physical activity in improving the public”s health and preventing and controlling chronic diseases. Within DNPAO, the Program Development and Evaluation Branch (PDEB) provides programmatic and evaluation technical assistance to 71 state and local recipients in three programs: State Nutrition and Physical Activity (SPAN), High Obesity Program (HOP), and Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH).The Program Evaluation Team (PET) monitors the evaluation progress of recipients and shares findings with internal staff, partners and decision-makers. The contractor will provide evaluation and technical assistance support services to this team to accomplish its goals and objectives.RESPONSIBILTIES: Provide program evaluation guidance and technical assistance to state and local recipients on performance measures, evaluation plans, and long-term outcome evaluations.Design national evaluations: collect and monitor process and outcome data to evaluate impact of recipient efforts.Analyze and translate evaluation findings and practice-based evidence into presentations and products.Facilitate recipient peer-to-peer networking and collaboration.Serve as a subject matter expert by participating in Division workgroups on strategic priority areas.Present evaluation findings to a variety of internal and external partners.DESIRED SKILLS INCLUDE: Knowledge and experience in program evaluationExperience providing technical assistance on a variety of topics and projectsExpertise in analyzing quantitative and qualitative dataExperience in translating evaluation findings into presentations, guidance documents, and other productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with scientific and programmatic staffTRAVELTravel will not be required for this project.Job Type: Full-time
