Job Description : Sun Construction Inc.Construction Project ManagerBuilding with Aloha from Concept to CreationGeneral OverviewSeeking an experienced construction project manager who is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of construction projects. They will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. Should be knowledgeable of regulations, permits and project management methodology. Works well with others, highly organized, detail-oriented, meets deadlines and stays within budget.ResponsibilitiesPlan all aspects of the projectEstimate costs, builds and manage the budgetDevelop schedule, with milestonesKeep inventory of tools, equipment and machineryAllocate and manage resource logisticsCreate status reportsResolve conflictsIdentify, track and resolve risksOversee training and supervision of crewDraft contracts with subcontractors, vendors and othersObtain permits, licenses and meet code regulationsMeet deadlinesHire crew and support staffDelegate responsibilitiesUpdate stakeholders regularlyMeet environment standardsLiaison with communityMonitor progress and performanceCollaborate with engineers, architects, et al.Evaluate crewMaintain health and safety standardsEducation & ExperienceDegree in architecture, building science, engineering, construction management or related fieldProject management certification is recommendedYears of construction management experience managing budgets and schedulesStrong knowledge of construction-related materials and equipmentOrganizedTeam leader with experience leading a construction crewFluency in software programs related to construction management, including project management softwarePrior experience managing a construction sitePlans aheadCurrent with rules and regulations related to constructionConflict resolution experienceStrong communication skillsAbout our company: Sun Construction Inc. is based in Keaau, Hawaii and has been in business since 2008.
