POSITION INFORMATION
The Western Placer Waste Management Authority (WPWMA) is seeking a Public Information Assistant responsible for managing facility and regional outreach campaigns and messaging and establishing relationships with local media outlets, community organizations and other stakeholders.
The WPWMA manages a materials recovery facility, composting operation and household hazardous waste facility in addition to Placer County’s only active landfill. The WPWMA is currently developing design, construction and operations contracts while conducting environmental review of expansion concepts addressing regional growth, regulatory changes, increased diversion rates, improved operational efficiencies and maintaining compatibility between operations and neighboring developments.
