Position : Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO)
Job Description : ARS Aleut Construction LLC is hiring a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to plan, manage and support on-site safety for assigned project(s).
Responsibilities:
Develop overall safety policies, procedures and programs
Risk mitigation
Identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and or property damage using job specific safety standards and best management practices
Lead, direct and enforce safety for multiple task orders
Enforce safety program(s) and related policies, procedures, etc. and implement updated, immediate corrective actions (IAW EM 385-1-1)
Hold pre-construction planning meeting with subcontractors to review overall site safety program and job hazard analysis according to scope of work
Requirements:
Minimum two (2) year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, engineering or similar
> Five (5) years of building construction experience
Current OSHA 30 hour Construction Safety and Health Certification
Expert knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials, including engineering principles and techniques
Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
US citizenship required
