Position : Surgery Scheduler
Job Description : The Surgery Scheduler reports to the Administrator and the Physicians.Ensure that all surgeries are scheduled according to company guidelines, while meeting facility and safety requirementsCore Responsibilitiescaring interactions with patients and guestsCoordination with outside Providers, ancillary services and facilities for pre-operative clearanceCoordinates and maintains physician OR and follow up scheduleCoordinates with physician, patient and facility when scheduling casesManages OR block time at the facilitiesEnsures instrumentation and anesthesia is scheduledEnters patient demographics into EMR , ensures facility has all necessary paperwork needed to schedule a case – all paperwork in scanned into patients chartCollects upfront monies due for surgery, assist in collecting balance dues if noted in the accountDirects patient to get necessary clearance/pre-op testing completed prior to surgery and makes sure results are received and sent to the facilityPre-authorization to ensure approval is obtained and assist in any necessary means to get this completed.Competencies:leadership is proactive.work shows great attention to detail.behaviors and standards model FSSS ‘s values and deliver a service experience that is unrivaled.active listening skills.behavior is enthusiastic.enjoy working as part of a team.flexible and adaptable and organizedproficient in computer skills.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth InsurancePaid Time OffVision InsuranceExperience:Surgery Scheduling: 1 year (Preferred)Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)Schedule:Monday to FridayNo weekendsDay shift8 hour shiftCompany’s website:WWW.FLORIDASPINEANDSPORTSSPECIALISTS.COMBenefit Conditions:Waiting period may applyWork Remotely:No
