Job Description : If you would thrive developing and scaling an innovative productized service for a flourishing company and dramatically changing entrepreneurs’ lives, you may be a great fit with us as Vice President of Consulting Services for our Pathfinder Business Unit.Reporting to the Pathfinder President, you would be developing our transition planning business unit (Pathfinder) into a scalable productized service, helping entrepreneurs comprehensively prepare for the sale of their company, and building/leading a team to rapidly scale this very fast-growing business.Over the last 15 years, we have evolved from providing simple transaction advisory services to a full-service financial platform for entrepreneurs. Our services start in the years before a business owner is looking to sell their company and include transition/exit planning (our Pathfinder and CoPilot offers), investment banking (managing the actual sale transaction through our broker-dealer Class VI Securities), and personal wealth management services through our registered investment advisor family office (Class VI Family Office).While we have the foundation in place and have coached clients successfully through the transition phase, building this out as a standalone business unit and productized service is a relatively new initiative. We’ve got an extremely strong sales team in place, continuously and quickly bringing in new business. We are innovative, creative, and make this a fun workplace that our team loves.Competitive compensation plan with comprehensive benefits.Company trips when we meet our company goals.What we’ll expect from you and what you’ll be doing:Developing our transition planning business unit (Pathfinder) into a scalable productized service, utilizing our existing tools and comprehensively building out the program, and building the infrastructure to support it.Partnering directly with entrepreneurs as you help them develop their transition plans and lead them through the program, optimizing that program through the observations you make during that service delivery.Building, leading, inspiring, and coaching a team that you hire and manage, rapidly scaling the business unit from the current ~5 active clients at once to ~35 active clients at a time, maintaining our outstanding customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.Further differentiating Class VI in the market through an innovative, value-building, integrated end-to-end solution to entrepreneurs’ operating, financial, and personal challenges.Communicating vision, creating alignment around team and firm goals, driving measurable results, and constantly improving our culture, systems, and processes to ensure this is the best job all your team and co-workers will ever haveOther duties as assigned.Job requirementsAuthorization to work in the U.S.Bachelor’s degree (business emphasis preferred, but not required).Strong understanding of data-driven business strategy with at least 10 years of experience leading client service in a combination of small businesses or second-stage businesses ($5-100+M in revenues), and in B2B professional services organizations.10+ years successful experience building and leading teams of 5+ professionals delivering B2B client services.Experience as a business owner or being a core part of the team on M&A transactions, as well as consulting experience is preferred, but not required.Strength in leadership, B2B client service delivery, customer satisfaction, program development, proactive communication, operations, attention to detail, and rapid scaling (5+ years).Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees, vendors, etc.Base salary of $150k to $170K plus a performance-based bonus, as well as the benefits listed above. If all targets are met, OTE (base salary + bonus) may be $225K+ (depending on the number of clients served and other goals). Over the years as we continue to build our client base and deliver outstanding services as we quickly scale, OTE could grow closer to $300K if all targets are met, depending on the number of clients served and other goals.We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
